Bio

Since October 2024, Saskia Jaretzke has been Head of Office at the Brandenburg Center for Media Studies (ZeM). With her many years of experience in administrative and organizational roles at universities and research institutions in Potsdam, she brings extensive knowledge and expertise to her position.

Her professional career began at the Helmholtz Centre Potsdam, where she first gained experience in finance and administration. She then worked at the University of Potsdam before moving to the Film University Babelsberg KONRAD WOLF in 2016. There, she initially worked in the Chancellor’s Office and in Occupational Health Management, later taking on key responsibilities in Finance & Procurement, particularly in public procurement law.

Alongside her professional activities, she has continuously pursued further training, including qualification as a certified administrative specialist (Verwaltungsfachwirtin). Her strengths lie in budget monitoring, project coordination, procurement processes, and internal university communication.
