In 2026, the ZeM will once again fund a graduate conference with a focus on media studies. We kindly ask you to distribute the call. All information can be found in the detailed call for proposals for the annual focus from p. 4 (PDF in German).
The funding gives Master’s students in their final year of study and doctoral candidates the opportunity to present their research topics to an academic audience, exchange ideas with other researchers and invite relevant keynote speakers and experts. The graduate conference will be held in February or March 2026 and can be a one-day or multi-day event. The maximum funding amount is € 5.000. We look forward to receiving submissions by August 31!
In terms of content, the graduate conference should be oriented towards the ZeM annual focus “Platformatizations”, take up individual aspects or develop its own approaches based on these. Detailed information on the annual focus and all information on the call for the graduate conference can be found in the detailed call for proposals (PDF in German).
Graduates (Master’s students from the 3rd semester and/or doctoral students) who are enrolled at a university in Brandenburg are eligible to apply. Funding is intended in particular for the inter-university exchange of junior academics in Brandenburg. Therefore, applicants must come from at least two different universities and submit a joint concept. We look forward to receiving your submissions!
