Code of Conduct

Dear participant,

we look forward to welcoming you to our conference. As we are dedicated to providing a safe, harassment-free environment for everyone, we would like to emphasize that every person will be tolerated, regardless of race, age, religion, or nationality, gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance or body size.

We ask you to treat others as you would like to be treated.
We value your privacy: Please refrain from taking screenshots or recording the event. You are free to leave your camera turned off. You are free to, but not obliged to, give your whole name. We would like to draw your attention to the option of adding your preferred pronouns to your name on Zoom - this may help others address you correctly.

Behaviors of harassment, which include, but are not limited to the following, are unacceptable:
Verbal comments that reinforce social structures of domination related to gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, age, religion or nationality.
Images or videos that reinforce named social structures of domination.
Behaviors intended to make a person or group feel unwelcome, or to encourage ostracism of any individual or group.
Harassing photography or recording.
Sustained disruption of talks, discussions and the art exhibition.
Unwelcome sexual attention.
Advocating for, or encouraging, any of the above behaviors.
We reserve the right to exclude participants permanently in case of provocation, insults or discriminatory behavior.

If anyone makes you feel unsafe or unwelcome, please report it to us and immediate action will be taken. People like you make our scientific community a better place, and we want you to feel comfortable here.

Notes on Accessibility

Dear participant,

Please consult these accessibility guidelines in addition to our code of conduct above.

Our conference will be conducted virtually using the Zoom platform.

Having a Zoom account is not a prerequisite, but recommended. You can create a Zoom account here and download the app manually here (otherwise you will be asked to install the app the first time you join a Zoom meeting).

If you haven’t used Zoom before, you will find an introduction here. You can also find some helpful shortcuts for Zoom here.

For general information on Zoom accessibility, please click here.

Please feel free to share your gender pronouns next to your name in Zoom.

The automated closed captioning/transcription service will be available during the conference. However, it is important to keep in mind that the captioning quality is not absolute, and the programme cannot separate different speakers - this means that the transcription includes everything that is being said in a continuous stream. You can activate the live transcript in the Zoom control bar (CC-Button). If closed captions (CC) have been enabled, a transcript of the whole event can be automatically created and stored. For further information click here.
