Dr. Noam Gramlich
Noam Gramlich was lecturer and PhD candidate at the European Media Studies program at the University of Potsdam and was working on a doctoral thesis on extractivism and (de)colonization using the example of the copper mine in Tsumeb, Namibia. Academic and non-academic thematic focus on the coloniality of raw materials and infrastructures, the colonial history of botanical gardens, and intersectional feminist methodologies. Co-edited the anthology Feministisches Spekulieren. Genealogien, Narrationen, Zeitlichkeiten, Berlin (Kadmos) 2020″. Numerous article publications, e.g. “Mediengeologisches Sorgen. Mit Otobong Nkanga gegen Ökolonialität“, in: Zeitschrift für Medienwissenschaft, Ausgabe 24 (2021), S.65-76,” (awarded by the Best Publication Award Gender and Media of the Society for Media Studies). Contributed to AudioGuide Potsdam Postcolonial (2020).
